Querencia Green connects people who care about the ecological and social well-being of Albuquerque neighborhoods, empowers them to build a cooperative culture to reduce our ecological footprint, and increases local capacity to meet essential resource needs.
The people of the Southwest must cope with rising temperatures and increased demands on limited water, as well as a struggling economy. Many people are forging ahead with grassroots, community oriented projects. Cooperation and community is practiced as sustainable uses of food, water, energy, buildings and mobility options are developed.
We celebrate those who exchange and develop skills and materials in their neighborhoods. We encourage more green champions to build resilience in Albuquerque neighborhoods, and to share what they have learned.
